Clairebonnie's HiLo silver lining!!

Date - Nov 04, 2011

The KrackedKings forum sure seems to have it's fair share of exponents of the art of HiLo Omaha and one of the latest winners is our very own Clairbonnie a.k.a. as the exotically named Claire Debois. Outlasting a field of 611 runners on Pokerstars Claire scooped a nice $220 for an outlay of $2.20 to give her a much valued little boost prior to a trip to Los Angeles in 2 weeks, where she is planning on celebrating an upcoming birthday with some style! Admittedly grinding it out in the lower limits...

Donuts has that ring of confidence

Date - Nov 02, 2011

Winning a satellite into a €200 competition for an outlay of €10.50 is very handy. Not only does it get you out of cleaning the Sunday lunch dishes, it also kills a few hours when other's highlights include watching the latest evictions on the X Factor ! Kill a few hours, down a few beers and five hours later you are trousering a tasty €10,000. Sounds perfect to me and that's what forum member Alex Thomson a.k.a "Donuts" did this Sunday in the Microgaming €30,000 GTD. Cheered...

Richypal shows why he's no one hit wonder!

Date - Oct 24, 2011

When it comes to tactful comment nobody does it better than forum regular Richypal, referring to other regs as "posh twonk", "big nose" and some that won't get past the censors for very obvious reasons, but he is without doubt one of the most popular and successful players we have. He has cashed between $10,000 and $25,000 many times in a poker career lasting some seven years, including a very tasty seventh in the Sunday Warm-up for a chunky $25,000. Often though, this has seen much debate as to whether it's ac...

The Ladbrokes Irish Poker Festival is less than two weeks away and this is the last call for all slowcoaches and anyone else who hasn't made their mind up about going! Your Last Chance to qualify online for the live event in Killarney is Thursday 22nd September and LadbrokesPoker certainly saved the best chance for last as they are GUARANTEEING 15 seats for the Main Event. Find it under Tournaments/Live Events/ Killarney €550 event/Satellites. If you qualify or make a direct buy-in online through ...

QUALIFICATION HOTS UP FOR THE 2011 LADBROKES IRISH POKER FESTIVAL WITH AN ADDED BONUS THIS THURSDAY

Date - Aug 24, 2011

The Irish Poker Festival is a must on anyone’s Poker calendar - the 2010 event saw 633 runners in the main event alone, and 2011 is already shaping up to be bigger. The four day event will be held from the 29th September to 2nd October, with the €550 main event once again having a guaranteed prizepool of a massive €250,000. Last year there was an exciting mix of regular online players, local Irish folk and a big group from the Nordic countries. The winner of the main event, Lars Torngren from Sweden, cashed in €75,000 from a prizepool of over €300,000. Qualifi...

He may be MAD but he sure can play!

Date - Aug 01, 2011

Another convert to the game of Omaha Hilo is forum member Vadim Baines-Jones, better known as MADV and the husband of the lovely Sharon, a.k.a. Angel1975. Admittedly "sick and tired of holdem" Vadim has turned his attention to what is becoming an increasingly popular game within the poker community. He has done so with some success taking down the Circus $1.5 GTD Omaha Hilo $10 rebuy recently beating a field of 60 runners. With 5 children, a dog and a Terrapin to provide for the $617 first prize will come in very h...

Slimshady waves around his highstack to good effect

Date - Jul 21, 2011

I have to say it was with some trepidation that I sent out to forum "rude boy" Slimshady the traditional "congrats" PM and a request for more details of his recent win. Not known to be shy when entering into a conversation my fears seemed to have foundation when a quick glance through his reply included a sentence all about 3 way action  and I could immediately envisage and report that would not get past the censors. My concerns however were allayed when the said 3 way action involved Slimshady's p...

Crippin crept in for a crap - shoot!

Date - Jul 20, 2011

When the Latin scholars were coming up with phrases and statements to bamboozle all but the uber-intelligent of us, little did they know that the forum would have its' own genius who would turn the Latin phrase of In Vino Veritas (in wine there is the truth) into his very own meaning of In Wine there lies the skill ! Certainly that appears to be the case for the forum's own Oz Clarke, Adrian Creagh a.k.a. "Crippin" who puts much of his latest win down to "a few beers and buckets of red wine" resulting i...

"DICO DICO so good he done it twice"

Date - Jul 20, 2011

Winning a tournament once in a while is nice but winning the same tournament twice in three days is just bloody greedy !! That is what happened earlier this month for forum member Chris Dixon better known by the alias Dico. Not content with winning the €1k highstack on Laddies on the 4th July Dico returned to scene of his triumph on the 6th July to take down the same event. First time around the €5 buy in tournament attracted 312 runners and a first prize of €413 and the repeat saw him outlast a further 297 runne...

Claretsoup takes advantage of second chance!

Date - Jul 20, 2011

All poker wins are welcome but with a new baby on the way a timely boost to the coffers can do no harm as happened recently to forum regular Claretsoup. Finding things quieter at work than at home "Claret" had time to play a bit more than usual and hit a nice run of form without taking down the coveted first prize. That was until winning the €2k GTD €10 buy in Second Chance on Stan James. Outlasting a field of 145 runners the first prize of €687 has already been spent on a new pram plus decorating the ...

Rivher's big stack holds upl!

Date - Jun 27, 2011

Waking up the other morning to find the KrackedKings forum colours a lighter shade of pink could only suggest one of two things. Either Lodger and Lizard have finally come out and declared their closet love for each other and Elton and George or Rivher, the forums very own batty boy has finally outfoxed the RNG and won something. Despite strong concerns about the former, having passed by Lizard's house the other day to the sound of "YMCA", it was definitely the latter and the forum was ablaze with congratulations to thi...

Jonathan Morris has that animal magic!

Date - Jun 17, 2011

Ok so the headline might only strike a cord with those of us in the running for Saga membership but back in the days when poker was played out in darkened rooms in the back of the local gangster's den, "Johnny" Morris was a star on TV kids shows where he would mimic the voices of the animals in the zoo he was a keeper at and made great TV.   Ok, ok this is a poker blog not "All our yesterdays" but such simple memories are all some of us have . KrackedKings forum member &quo...

Mickeano1 hits a rich vein of form!

Date - Jun 17, 2011

Ok, you've just finished an 8 hour shift so what next? The pub, the bookies or a bit of online poker? Most options are pretty good but when that shift ended at 10.30 pm and you are due back at work to do it all again at 2.30 pm then I guess the preferred option would be to climb into bed and give the Mrs a nudge (if there is an "R" in the month and the moon is full ) before falling asleep. What would you do though if you are on a decent run of form? Obvious really, ...

Bigger things Beck-on for Andy!

Date - Jun 16, 2011

Back in 2006 Ladbrokes ran a superb cruise with a Main Event that carried a $5000 buy in - way outside the bankroll of most players but due to the high number of satellites run, many many of what are now KrackedKings forum regulars took part and chased a huge 1st prize. Imagine playing in a competition like that for the first time and ending up after two days of solid play getting busted just one place off the bubble by a lunatic who became known to all present as the "Flying Finn". Well that's what happened to forum pla...

£1000 an hour keeps Paulscot1 happy!

Date - Jun 16, 2011

There often talk among the regulars in the KrackedKings forum about what is and what isn't a good hourly rate to set yourself when sat at the virtual felt. Many agree it should be based around a certain number of big blinds in cash games but in tournaments there seems to be much more varied argument. You can't argue with $3800 for two hours work and an outlay of $82 can you though? I doubt it and recently forum regular Paulscot1 did just that on Pokerstars outlasting 216 others in this hyper turbo event. ...

Supershammy Stacks it high on Laddies

Date - Jun 15, 2011

First of all apologies to Supershammy for not writing this report up sooner but the distraction of Las Vegas for a couple of weeks was just too much to handle  - hopefully all the winnings aren't already spent!! Recently - well two weeks ago  - Supershammy took down the €1k GTD High Stack on Laddies beating a field of 302 runners for a tasty €400. This is the 2nd time recently Sam has been in the news so he is on a bit of a winning run and long may it continue. I don't kn...

Shocks hit the onliine poker world as T8MML wins on Ladbrokes!!

Date - May 22, 2011

This will be a very brief report as I know very little about KrackedKings member and Tom Cruise lookalike T8MML other than he is also known to the outside world as husband of poker great Hazel Blake, who achieved cult status during the Killarney festival of 2009. Not known for being overtly succesful in recent years on Ladbrokes, some shrewd punters started backing such a result in the run up to Friday's tournament seeing his odds tumble to just shorter than those offered by the bookies for finding Elvis alive and well and living on the ...

Petewolf is the omahahahahahaha man!

Date - May 21, 2011

It doesn't seem like a week goes by without one of the online sites putting on a "festival". We have WCOOPs, SCOOPs, ECOOPs, GSOPs, FTOPs, mini FTOPs and back in the annals of history there was once a LEOCOP . These festivals can put a huge dent in your bankroll if you run bad but the reverse is the serious amount of cash available if you do the opposite and hit it big. In the past few days we have seen WPT/EPT champion Jake Cody take down $250k in one event, followed by GUKPT Grand Final champion Paul Foltyn winning $180...

Scooby gobbles up some snacks!

Date - May 18, 2011

When someone lists their occupations as Publican, Sex Guru, Courier and Poker Player you have to wonder whether there is a certain element of "wind up" in the reply to the questions posed. When they list T8MML as their "poker hero" you know this is a complete piss take and not uncommon from the Forum's very own Dirty Den - Scooby666! With Vegas and the WSOP just around the corner, running into form can't be bad, not just for morale but also for building a bankroll for what can be a very expensive couple of weeks. ...

MrHarley - the leader of the pack!

Date - May 17, 2011

There's much to say for striking while the iron is hot and nowhere does it apply more than when playing poker. When you run well, you run very well and when you do not run well? Let's just agree not to go there! KrackedKings horse racing expert MrHarley ran like Sea The Stars earlier this week, winning the €2 carnage satellite into the Vegas semi-final, whilst playing at the same time the €2k GTD crapshoot to keep himself entertained; which he duly won, and then topped the ni...

Clairebabes1 hits the Jackpot with Dads dosh!

Date - May 11, 2011

Ok, so you go online, check your balance on Laddies and you have £3 in your account. Not much room for error there for sure - even worse when it's your dad's account so theoretically it's not even your £3, but hey Dads are cool guys where their daughters are concerned so he won't mind will he? So what's the game plan? Well let's start with a 10p Lucky 15 and see if we can give the balance a timely boost, scan the forum for today's array of dodgy tips and an hour or two later the balance now st...

Nilsatisopt proves more than just a high score at scrabble!

Date - May 04, 2011

I often wonder where some people get their aliase's from. Richlizard has lizards tattooed where no sane woman would ever go, Bigadzc is just chunky and Skalie is well.... Skalie, but try getting your head round "Nilsatisopt".! Google for inspiration - nothing! Is it an anagram/? Is last in pot was all we could get. So let's just settle for the real name, Dave Carse, a 40 year old Property Lawyer. Dave, aware that his wife reads the forum regularly, would also like...

This blonde has got some bottle!

Date - Apr 28, 2011

In the lead up to the Royal Wedding it is only fitting that one half of the forum's most popular "Mr and Mrs" double acts should have a nice win on Full Tilt. Denise Mills, founder member of the Pink Ladies poker team, and better half of KrackedKings super sleuth s7eve, won the $1500 GTD omaha hi last week beating a field of 703 runners for a tidy $506. Mother of two teenage boys Denise,  a.k.a. Bottleblonde, managed to sneak a little game in whilst working from home and with one eye on the work lappy and the other ...

HEF fires in a beauty!

Date - Apr 19, 2011

The words "stalwart" and "legend" are regularly bandied around here when reporting wins for KrackedKings members. In the case of Tom "HEF" Hefferman those words certainly apply as he has been around the forum longer than the whiff of kippers in the kitchen on a Sunday morning! HEF is a regular contributor on the forum, never afraid to speak his mind or voice an opinion that might go against the tide. In doing so the debates can often be heated but always end i...

Thelucky1 says "make mine a double!"

Date - Apr 19, 2011

If you when you are deciding on an online alias it would make sense to have one that encourages good Karma so why not include the word "lucky"? Now take your lucky alias and add to it the Chinese belief in the magic of the number 8 and there has to be a winning formula.   And so it has proved for KrackedKings regular James Crowe, a.k.a. thelucky1 who recently joined the 888 poker site and hit the ground running. It's always nice to win but when your first touch on a new site is winning the 1st depositors freeroll then "happy days" and this is what James has do...
